Irwin A. Horowitz joined Hartz as General Counsel in 1987. Since that
time, he has been responsible for the management and expansion of the Hartz
Legal Department. He also interfaces with outside counsel in partnering legal
matters requiring special expertise.
Prior to 1987, Mr. Horowitz was outside counsel to Hartz, as managing
partner of a mid-size law firm located in Newark and Secaucus, New Jersey. His
firm handled a large general practice including, but not limited to, commercial, real
estate and personal injury functions.
Mr. Horowitz received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from
Rutgers University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Rutgers School of Law. He
has been admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court and
several other federal and state forums.
