Karen Ricciardi joined Hartz Mountain Industries in 1984, working closely with the Engineering and Property Management Departments. Today, Ms. Ricciardi works in the Operations Department and is responsible for environmental matters for the company's vast real estate portfolio, which includes industrial, commercial, retail and hotel properties.

Ms. Ricciardi received her Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University, majoring in biology and microbiology. She also attended graduate school at NJIT where her studies focused on the effects of hazardous and toxic materials on the environment.
